Very good summary, for once giving a picture of some of the realities of life in today’s Ireland rather than the tourist mantras that are usually trotted out.

You need 2 jobs to make money living in Dublin. You must do approximately 70 to 80 hours work a week to save 10,000 euro per year , if you drink and or smoke you will need to work more . If you lived in Poland you could save the same amount of money per year but only have to work 50 hours per week. You work it out

Capitalism is inhumane. Sorry you're leaving. I'm up in Donegal, and rent is not so high. Good luck in the future!

I live in Dublin back in the 98/00
    £1600 Irish pounds.
    That’s 25 years ago
I’ve lived all over the world
    Rent and running a car
    That’s living in the world.
There’s a lot more expensive cities than Dublin
